Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival at Lake Maggiore

Arrival at the hotel, check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Mount Mottarone

Guided hike through beech forests and Alpine pastures to the summit of Mount Mottarone, renowned for its breathtaking views across the Alps, the Po Valley and the famous Seven Lakes. Optional traditional lunch at a mountain chalet.

Day 3 – Macugnaga & the Anzasca Valley

Discover the charming mountain village of Macugnaga, located beneath the magnificent east face of Monte Rosa. Guests may take the cable car towards the glacier or explore the historic Walser village and the former Gold Mine. The programme can be adapted to suit the group's interests and fitness level.

Day 4 – The Antigorio Valley

Explore the spectacular Uriezzo Canyons, carved by glaciers over thousands of years, before visiting the beautiful Romanesque Church of San Gaudenzio in Baceno. The day concludes with a visit to a local dairy farm, including a guided tour and tasting of traditional cheeses paired with regional wines.

Day 5 – The Vigezzo Valley

Visit the elegant Alpine town of Santa Maria Maggiore, known as the Valley of the Painters. Explore the Rossetti Valentini Museum before enjoying a cultural walk inspired by the landscapes depicted in the works of the valley's most celebrated artists.
