From a traditional truffle hunt in the hills of Asti to the prestigious wines of the Langhe, the historic cafés of Turin and the rice fields of Vercelli, each day reveals a different side of Piedmont’s culinary heritage.

This immersive itinerary combines food, wine, landscapes and local traditions, offering groups an authentic journey into the culture and craftsmanship behind some of Northern Italy’s most celebrated products.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in the Langhe and Monferrato Area

Arrival at the hotel, check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Truffle Hunting & Asti

Enjoy a memorable experience in the countryside surrounding Asti, joining an expert trifulau and trained dogs on a traditional truffle hunt.

The prized white truffle is mainly found during the autumn season, while different varieties of black truffle can be discovered at other times of the year.

After the experience, enjoy a small buffet featuring local Piedmontese products. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of Asti, a historic medieval city renowned for its towers, traditional Palio and wine culture.

Day 3 – Alba, the Langhe & Fine Piedmontese Wines

Guided visit to Alba, capital of the Langhe and internationally renowned for its White Truffle, annual truffle fair and outstanding food traditions.

In the afternoon, travel through the spectacular hills of the Langhe, passing through celebrated wine areas such as Barolo and Barbaresco. Visit a local winery for a guided tasting accompanied by regional specialities.

Day 4 – Turin & the Bicerin Tradition

Discover Turin, Italy’s first capital and an elegant city of royal palaces, grand squares, museums and historic cafés.

During the tour, stop in one of the city’s traditional cafés to taste Bicerin, Turin’s iconic drink made with coffee, chocolate and milk cream.

Day 5 – Vercelli & the Rice Tradition

Guided visit to Vercelli, a historic city surrounded by one of Europe’s most important rice-growing landscapes.

Continue to a traditional rice mill to discover the cultivation and processing of rice, from field to finished product. The visit concludes with a tasting of different risotto recipes, allowing guests to appreciate the characteristics of the various rice varieties.
