Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Turin
Arrival at the hotel, check-in, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 – Sacra di San Michele & Turin
Visit the magnificent Sacra di San Michele, one of Italy's most iconic abbeys, dramatically perched above the Susa Valley.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of Turin, including Piazza Castello, the Royal Palace and the Mole Antonelliana.
Day 3 – The Royal Palace of Venaria
Morning visit to the magnificent Royal Palace of Venaria, one of the UNESCO-listed Royal Residences of the House of Savoy.
The afternoon is free to explore one of Turin's renowned museums, such as the Egyptian Museum or the National Cinema Museum. An optional visit to the Basilica of Superga can also be arranged.
Day 4 – Candelo & the Sacred Mount of Varallo
Travel towards Lake Maggiore with a stop at the beautifully preserved medieval Ricetto of Candelo.
Continue to the Sacred Mount of Varallo, the oldest of Piedmont's Sacred Mountains, often referred to as the New Jerusalem, where chapels recreate the holy sites of Palestine.
Arrival at Lake Maggiore in the evening.
Day 5 – Blessed Antonio Rosmini
Discover the spiritual legacy of Blessed Antonio Rosmini with a visit to the Sacred Mount Calvary of Domodossola, where he founded his religious institute.
Later continue to Stresa to visit Rosmini House and, if desired, his final resting place.
Day 6 – Santa Caterina del Sasso & the Borromean Islands
Visit the spectacular Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, dramatically built into the cliffs overlooking Lake Maggiore.
The day continues with visits to the charming Isola dei Pescatori and magnificent Isola Bella, home to the Borromeo Palace and its celebrated Italian gardens.
Day 7 – Departure
Breakfast before departure.
